An old school Barossa Shiraz which is a product of ripe fruit and too much American Oak. Aromas of freshly sawn wood. On the palate ripe plum and chocolate with astringent drying oak tannins. For those who like their Barossa Shiraz as big, ripe and oaky. You have to drink wines like this in cold weather. Impossible in an Australian summer. I used to like wines like this when I was younger but not my cup of tea these days.
