Gran Moraine takes its name from cataclysmic floods that occurred in the northern Willamette Valley of Oregon during the last ice age. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits, barrel fermented, 10% new oak. On the palate crisp apple, lime and a light touch of peach and wet stone. Great balance and mouthfeel with perfect acidity, long ending with a touch of oak on generous minerality. A must try from OR.

Nose has cold mountain stream, cold tropical fruits (papaya, guava, starfruit), sweet yet light new oak barrel, ripe pear and crunchy bread crust.

Palate has lemon meringue, under-ripe papaya, Clementine peel, green melon with light honey and white flowers on the medium finish.

I do like OR Chardonnay, but generally think it is best at 5-6+ years of age, in its youth the flavors are tight and the wine demands a decant. We're at about 3+ hours of airing tonight.

Terra Sur. Totally delicious. Reminiscent of Montrachet. Lemon, light oak.

tea.
👍 Delicious wine to explore!
🛑 Maybe give this a couple more years!
