Gralyn Estate
Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
Herbal, soft - more on the medium minus side of palate weight. Fine grained tannins. Overall impression is ok and will drink my remaining bottle some time this year. Situated in the dress circle Wilyabrup region of Margaret River and charging the same as its illustrious neighbours but not delivering on that quality.

Jan 16th, 2020Unmistakably Margaret River Cabernet. Very herbal and stalky but still with enough ripe blackberry fruit and spice to make for a very good wine. Length and persistence from a good vintage. This wine apparently served on Qantas First Class when I bought it 5 years ago.

Feb 27th, 2017Initial notes of dusty oak and some meaty nuances. 2008 was yet another good year in Margaret River but the palate here is lacking fruit intensity (picked too early?) Up in the Wilyabrup Dress Circle and apparently has been served on Qantas First Class. Expected more richness and palate weight.
