I’ve had this previously from a bottle bought at the winery where it performed way better.
I’m wondering if there’s a difference in what hit US shores...or perhaps this bottle was from a different batch?

Nice light silvery salmon color. Intense strawberry, cherry and raspberry aromas and flavors. Hint of purple flowers. Touch of minerality on the finish. Vibrant acidity along with a creamy mousse and texture effervescent bubbles. Quite brisk refreshing! Excellent QPR.

I think air must have gotten into the bottle or it may have been stored improperly, because it had a stale, flat (in terms of taste, not carbonation), day old wine taste. Definitely not our cup of tea.

Edit/update: we had a second bottle which turned out absolutely delish, but probably wouldn't repurchase just because there's apparently a chance of getting a bad bottle.
