Light yellow. No real pronounced nose. Taste was muted. Detected some pear, apple and stone fruit. Quick finish. Acceptable.

A very fine barrel-fermented Chenin Blanc from Graham Beck. The 2011 had nine months on the lees. Wet stone on nose and palate, typical Chenin fruit and aroma, clearly an old vine wine with a barely audible whisper of botrytis. Opens up nicely in the glass after ten or fifteen minutes --will probably decant next time.
