I reallllly like this. I have loved other wines from Gothic. I don't know that I love this one but it gets my "reallllly like" rating. High on the...stewed fruit. The anise/pastille notes sing. This maybe doesn't hit "love" but I adore it. Maybe it is the Oregon vibe but I imagine it paired with anything that has blackberries....and paired with black lipstick. Gotta have the black lips with the Goth.

Love the bold rich earthiness of this pinot. Rich upfront, tart cranberry/black cherry finish. A bit dry, yet smooth mouthfeel.

When celebrated New York sommelier @Josh Nadel ventured down the vintner path, he headed straight for Oregon's Willamette Valley to make nuanced, food-friendly Pinot Noir in the Old World tradition. And lord did he ever hit the nail on the head. Layers of black cherry, anise and lightly woodsy notes meet a gently masculine edge from the partial whole-cluster fermentation for a deliciously gulpable yet still serious wine.
