Nose of raisins and prunes. Huge bright red fruit on the palate with slate, minerals, mud, and wet leaves. Nose was a little musty and off putting or would have rated this a few notches higher.

May 15th, 2017Really strong Red Mountain Syrah from Gorman. Cool jet black with a purple rim. Nose is all bramble and spice. Palate Shows roasted tart cherries and cinnamon with a lengthy and dry finish. May even have a few better years ahead of it. Good stuff all around.

An interesting combo of Cab & Syrah. I think this wine has hit its peak though. Fruit is still pretty prominent but on its way out. Decent wine.
