These were being run out at a bargain price in a Golding warehouse sale recently. The other bottles I opened were pretty rough and well past their prime. This one is notable because it was a very pleasant surprise: not just much more approachable than the others, but also a genuinely good pinot! It’s somewhat developed but still lively with soft, plummy fruit and whiffs of subtle, cedary oak. Thoroughly enjoyed this over three nights.

May 2nd, 2019So glad to meet the name sake on the day of purchase. What a lovely gentleman, and a history to boot! The rating is as expected, and finally, a lovely Adelaide Hills Pinot that could last a few more years yet.

Oct 19th, 2016Very attractive nose. Nice focussed, concentrated fruit with a spicy lick. A bite of sour cherry. This went very well indeed with Ricciardo's Malaysian F1 GP win.
