Golan Heights Winery
Gamla Kosher Sauvignon Blanc
Light straw in color with a yellow tint.
On the nose, grapefruits, citrus, peaches, lemons, minerals, metals and pears.
Medium-bodied with high acidity and somewhat creamy.
Tart on the palate and dry, with grapefruits, lemons and limes.
Nice, long finish with almonds and tart citrus fruits.
This is a nice Sauvignon Blanc from Israel. Refreshing and crisp yet Tart with some bitterness. Better with food, though. I paired it with fish on the grill.
Grapes were grown in the Golan Heights appellation.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

medium body.
medium acidity.
grapefruit, lemon, pepper and freshly cut grass.
balanced.
excellent vfm(50 nis), but i rather pay more and get excited.
paired lovely with rich brunch that included home made hummus, roasted sweet potatoes, eyal shani's style famous cauliflower and great swedish style bread variety (rye, sourdough and an amazing cake like π with orange and anise).
looking at the picture i realize this is 2017 vintage.
i specifically asked my wine buyer for 2018!
(my wife went to the grocery store)
2018 might feel fresher, I'll check soon.
the πΈπͺ cake spiced with cinnamon and cardamom was amazing, but i paired it with cold brew β π
