Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.
Strong nose of black fruits with oak, earth and chocolate notes.
Full bodied and soft, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black cherries, black plums, currants, oak, licorice, earth, light vegetables, herbs, dark chocolates and peppercorn.
Medium on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This young Syrah from Red Mountain is starting to drink very nicely. Rich, elegant and fruit forward. Complex with a soft mouthfeel.
Needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves.
This Single Vineyard Syrah is powerful, yet elegant. Soft, spicy and smooth. Good by itself or with food.
100% Syrah grapes were aged in (50% new) French and American Oak barrels for 18 months. Unfiltered and Biodynamic. A tiny production of less than 1,500 bottles.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Little less of the silk you usually find from WA in a good way more Northern Rhone esk. Could be young or could be delicious you tell me. But I'll green light this one.

Minimal fruit aromas with medium tannins. Not my style of Syrah. Also past its prime. It’s OK. Would want to try a newer vintage.
