Lack of acidity is what avoids this wine to be a perfect one. But that was already expected. Absolutely gorgeous.

Incredible appasimento cab franc. Deep rich blackberry jam. Fig. Violets with sweet spice and chewy tannin. Elegant. Powerful and sexy

Quintarelli was a master, and this was one of his last creations -- a Cab Franc done in an Amarone style. This is a treat -- Violets, blue fruit, cooked blackberry jam, stewed figs, overripe Concord grapes on a hot summer day, damp earth. Acidity is medium, and tannins are still quite assertive. Delicious. Thanks to Master Somm Alan Murray for sharing this grand wine.
