Casot Barbaresco Nebbiolo
Rose water, white pepper and dust. Light, elegant, simple Barbaresco enjoyed pre-symphony at one of my favorite mom-and-pop Italian joints in Nashville alongside a plate of white truffle gnocchi.

Feb 25th, 2018This is a wine that requires about an hour in your glass or decanter to unveil its true beauty. It's light and incredibly complex like a fine Burgundy. Rich berries and red liquorice complemented by black pepper. Super suave with subtle root beer flavour and a beautifully tight finish. If you appreciate Burgundy or Pinots from other countries, give this a try.

A fine value in traditional Piemontese Nebbiolo. Relatively rich core of red fruit; a touch of funk and minerality keeps it firmly centered in the old world.

Mar 20th, 2015In a great place now. Roses and still mostly red fruit driven with black truffle and balsamic notes seeping in around the edges. Lovely wine with coneglio, but better suited for a crisp fall evening than a 95 degree afternoon!

Jul 14th, 2023Do not drink a lot of Barbaresco. however this came across very well with fruits and tannins still doing their job. think it has a few more years left in it
