Les Belles Dames Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2022 “Les Belles Dames” pours a pale straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of grapefruit, horseradish, grassy/herbal notes, and flint. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and mineral laden. Drink now through 2032.

Gooseberry, fresh herbs , grassy , lemongrass

Aged. secondary flavors. Chard color. Tastes like Poached Pear in brandy reduction w vanillin Ice cream. Nutmeg. Almond. Sl Marzipan. Showing well. For Kiara’ s bday- she’s the Sancerre lover.

Ya just don't run across a whole lot of 1990 Sancerre.

Lime, grapefruit, acid, grass, chalk, mineral, sea salt. Very good, if not a bit brash. Became a bit more ripe with air.

Interesting stuff but not the most enjoyable wine to drink...

Really cool aged sancerre. Never had sancerre this old before. Still kicking too.

Still holding on.

Not typical of its region.

Quite austere, all minerals on the palate with some nice apple on the nose. It ain't a fruit day for sure.
