Energetic, med bodied, Burgundian but with that spice, slightly animal and herbal nerello mascalese thing. Lovely wine

Had this at a nice restaurant with our dinner. Nice funk mixed with lighter fruit. I personally got some slight hints of darker cherry as it opened up. Best with food but a very interesting wine by itself.

Wonderful wine. This wine has lots of tannins, is medium bodied and has those minerals/ashy flavors that I love in the Etna wines.

One of my all time favorites. Notes of blood orange, black raspberry. Grippy tannin and strong acidity.

So far (and I know the year is still young), this is the best bottle of wine I've opened. Just an exquisite flavor profile that knocks you off your damn feet. Huge fruit, massive spice, and the volcanic funk of the terroir tastes of ash on the palette. Truly a wonderful bottle from a (largely) underrated region. 10/10 would do again.

TAF. That's a professional sommelier acronym for Tannic As Fuck. Brilliant with food. Mouthwatering acidity that balances out the tannins. A bit young.
