Solid gsm. Grenache dominant gives it a fruitier edge and softer tannic body. Lightly arromatic, brighter red fruit dominates, with a decent spice note in mid palette (Mourvedre is 27%, so go figure). This is an easy sipper and, to me, a little more like a typical French gsm. I think I prefer the Mourvedre dominant gsm blends coming out of Rotie, B. Leighton Cellars, and elsewhere, but i might just be weird. :)

Sep 24th, 2016This vintage is actually a Syrah dominant GSM, with rich cherry flavors and a very nice thick tannic structure.
