A small Marlborough producer that focuses on Pinot Gris. So many different styles and flavours of Pinot Gris to experience at their Cellar Door this was my favourite. With some age on it this Pinot Gris had a beautiful light honeyed colour to it. On the nose you get some delicious ripe pear fruit flavours with a subtle honey suckle aroma. There is also an element of age with this wine on the nose, a soft oakiness. On the palate you get more of that aged pear characteristic, it has a definite richness to it which was absolutely delicious.
