Riserva Monfortino Barolo Nebbiolo

Going through its angsty teenage phase. Best to leave it unmolested for a while.

A little dumb right now but showing some potential...

In it's teenage phase. Super closed down and tight. Just bordering on pleasurable.

Had a month ago in Italy...Glorious!!

In mag. So good. SO young.

Kirsch, cassis, dried figs, crushed dried roses, leather, cinder, cigar box, iron, dried oregano, graphite, thyme, mint, rosemary, forest floor. Rounded acidity, smooth firm velvet tannins, full bodied, satin texture, incredibly long smoky-herbal-slightly floral finish. Highly aromatic, perfect weight/texture, drinking at its peak. Harmonious in every way, decant for at least one hour. Superb!

Very tight, this needed to be decanted for about 8 hours longer.
