The 2019 Barolo Cerretta has shut down considerably since I last tasted it, but the elements are also more put together in that the wine is a harmonious whole rather than a combination of individual components. Dark red fruit, rose petal, orange peel, spice and dried herbs are beautifully sketched. I would not dream of touching a bottle anytime soon. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2024)

Wow. Tad woody. Spice. Clove. Floral perfume. Hard. Rustic. Very tannic. Old fashioned. Dark cherries, cranberry.

An utterly haunting wine, the 2014 Barolo Cerretta is sweet, perfumed and light on its feet. The purity of the aromatics and flavors is striking, but it is the wine's overall sense of harmony and polish that is most remarkable. Rose petal, lavender, mint and bright fruit are finely sketched in this stunningly beautiful, vivid Barolo from Roberto Conterno. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2018)

Wine of the night! Magnum of 2011 already wonderful to enjoy and at the same time ready to lay down for a couple of decades!

This is a dark and layered bueaty of a wine, showing crushed stone, black cherry, dried roses, and exotic spice. With time in the glass it gained depth, adding rich raspberry, hints of moist soil and truffle. Displaying mineral-driven, silky textures contrasted by a core of vibrant acidity on the palate. Black cherry, licorice, sweet herbs and menthol all flowed effortlessly across the senses. It finished on fine tannin with dried cherry and inner floral tones lingering long.
