Giacomo Borgogno & Figli
Barolo Nebbiolo
Barolo, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyGood, fairly lean and tannins a little grippy yet. Still a little young for a Barolo. But still would drink relatively soon as it seems a little tired...but could just be this bottle..

Basic lovely Barolo. Round and light, but with enough aromas to carry a game dish.

Herbaceous and outrageously good. It's subtle until you pair it with meat (or quail), then something deeper comes out.

Delicious wine. Still young. Great acid and fruit. Wonderful match for homemade pasta

Dec 21st, 2015Dark ruby core, hint of brown on the rim. Concentrated licorice, dried black cherry, hint of dark chocolate. Med b, med p acid, med p tannin, med p intensity, still masculin, powerful structure but wine is more softer than 06. med plus finish with licorice, dried cherry. Need fat food for this wine.
