Domaine de Javerniere Morgon Gamay Noir

This is the Côte du Py cru parcel, not listed in the description. Another outstanding vintage, perhaps even outdoing the 2015. About everything you would expect from a top cru-level Morgon, but at a killer price point.

Light body, good flavors. ~$12 at costco

Solid, bright red berry. Nice mid palate with slight earthiness. Pleasant drinker

Too sweet and fruit. Don't get again

Vibrant cherry, nectarine, and plum notes transforming into black tea, fresh oregano, decaying violet, decomposing forest floor, drenched soil, and wet rock. Fleshy, lively, and chewy. Tannins are still big after three years. Solid gamey Gamay with potential to grab even more earthiness in 2-5 years. Great aging potential and serious vintage to boot.

Solid harmonious Beaujolais from the excellent 2015 vintage. Rich, fruity , and opens up nicely in the glass. Substantial enough for hearty dishes but versatile with food.

Very nice medium-full bodied fanatic, noticeable tannins and generous black cherry and earthy fruit, nice finish. 2015, still developing and may become more integrated.
