Georges Dubœuf
Château de Javernand Vieilles Vignes Chiroubles Gamay

Not sure this belongs to duboeuf...
The nose shows rose petal, cherry, pepper, hay and a tiny almond note in the rear that really peculiar for a gamay from there. The palate is superb, with a vibrant and juicy cherry note radiating through and through, some width, some matter, even more than what I expected, a subtle tannic layer in the rear, gently disturbing the mouthfeel, before a fruity and peppery finish that goes on for a good while. Well this is very much the kind of Beaujolais I dig.
