Georges Descombes
Vieilles Vignes Brouilly Gamay
From a hot vintage comes a balanced Brouilly from Descombes in magnum. Complex aromas with lots of raspberries, a hint of forest floor emerging as some time passes. The fruit profile is among the lighter side of the Beaujolais 2015 that I have tried. Good acidity and medium tannins. A serious wine, though not super chuggable nor structured enough to be a great food partner. But pretty enjoyable as it is.
