As I think Delectable will finally work out, this is 2014. It's very good indeed; picked off the shelf out of guilt - can't remember my last glass of Sauvignon Blanc (many would say that's a blessing), so got this to keep my eye in. Opens grassy, reductive, typical - but with some patience this settles into something very impressive. Clean and pure, gooseberry and green grape flavours, along with bitter lemon and a faint suggestion of tangerine peel. What I love about it is the weight and texture; delicate with a powdery feel, very fine acid too. Zesty aromatics are sprinkled through the palate. A touch more length and I'd rate it higher. As it is, it's a very elegant, neatly composed Sauvignon Blanc.
