Reduced and gassy but blew off. Very fruit-driven.

Sorry Delectable - this is the Dolcetto, not the Barbera. Dolcetto - an under-rated light to medium weight Italian Red grape. Lovely nose. Light red plum flesh and skins. Fine dry chalky tannins - perfect with Lasagna - a well known producer. See previous Delectable notes.

Destined and triple sorted. Stainless fermentation. Food friendly and fruit forward without being over extracted.

Still deep purple. Nose is a bit closed. Little gassy on palate entry. With decant shows generous, fleshy textured dark berry atoms and flavors. More simple that previous bottles.

Birds on the label, put it on my table. This is all you want in a barbera.

the 2021 Barbera d'Alba is soft, fruity and very easy to like. Crushed rose petal, sweet red berries, cinnamon, orange peel and mint are all very nicely lifted. This understated, supple Barbera is a winner. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2022)
