Gauge Wines
12 Gauge Cab Cabernet Sauvignon
My memory is kind of faded on this one, but I think it was just OK. Not sure if I'd buy again. HATE the label

Jun 29th, 2020For such an economical cab, this is actually quite good. Nice blend of spices and dark fruit on the nose, and on the palette it's like biting into a milk chocolate bar. I agree though with one of the other reviewers who said, "Hate the label." Marketing matters, and what the label says to me is, "Bad, cheap, shoddy wine," and this isn't. I might recommend to the winery that it could be worth it to hire the talents of a good graphic designer to come up with something better.

Jul 22nd, 2017Very good. Full bodied wine with lots of flavor without being too overpowering.

Aug 9th, 2016Very smooth, but not much on an impression. Happy to have tried it.

Jul 12th, 2015Chocolatey and earthy aroma. Light to medium body with a touch of acid. Better than I remember. Not a go to wine but worth exploring as economical yet decent event/party wine in bulk.
