One of my favorite Gary Farrell SVD Pinot Noirs. Very consistent wine. This one has a nose of brambly raspberries, a hint of some basil. The entry is quite rounded. Some acidity, but definitely held in check. The flavor profile is raspberry, mulberry, hint of black cherry. Some mint and herbs in the middle. Finishes still a slight bit sweet and a little bit tart. However, the tart characteristics of this wine always works itself out after an hour or so with this kind of youth. There have only been one or two occasions where the bottle has lasted that long :-). This wine could hold easily for five to seven more years. I don't think there will ever be enough willpower to hold one of these Hallberg Dijon Clones for that long!
