Malbec

This is their Malbec. The Delectable library didn't have their Malbec label. Nose of wild, dark fragrant florals, mocha, dark & milk chocolate. Core of dark currants, anise, ruby; blackberries, blue fruits & black raspberries. Violets and rich, dark soil. The mouthfeel is rich and thick with M+ silty tannins. The floral fruits are; blackberries, black plums, black raspberries, dark cherries and they are gorgeously sexy. Spice, mocha powder & bar, nice portion of baking spices, hint of pepper, crushed dry rocks, loamy soils, nice and acidity with finish that is thick, rich, elegant and lasts. 65% fruit, 20% earth, 15% spice. Very intense, strong backbone and full bodied. Stood up to the most spicy jalapeño sweet hot jelly I ever had during our ‘build your own charcuterie board’ presented by Wazzu! This is a high quality, interesting, no short cut do it the right way winery to keep your eye on. Might be rivaling the big names of Walla Walla in 10 years or so.

This vintage should have been stellar but one of our bottles was turning. The other bottle was almost there, still nice but not as good as we remember.

Had one sip then aerated. Lovely wine. Almost a slight popcorn nose with hints of vanilla and cocoa. Still a little dry but lots fruit still. Really enjoy this wine. Hold for a bit.

This is a good wine; the 2015 will be great—tasted it in barrel.

2013 vintage. A vanilla nose. Big and complex. Spice, black cherry and vanilla flavors. A smooth finish.

2013 vintage. This is our first Malbec from Garrison Creek. Very nice. Smoke and cherry nose. Spicy, deep cherry and leather comes through. Complex, full bodied.

Fantastic Malbec. Loads of mocha( coffee and blackberries. Delicious!
