Galil Mountain Winery
Alon Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
This wine has an indigo color in the glass. The nose is full of dark fruit, with blackberry, plum and black currant coming into play. Notes of cigars, leather, white pepper and funky earth make me think the Syrah plays a much larger part than its percentage indicates. The palate has all the black fruit and some ripe, red cherries in addition. The acidity has some zip to it and the tannins are firm enough for brisket. The finish isn’t terribly long, but it holds the fruit flavors for a delicious few minutes.

May 28th, 2018very interesting!
asking around for a recommendation for interesting cheap wine for accompanying a family meal, this red blend was advised.
60% Cabernet sauvignon
30% syrah
5% petit verdot
5% cabarnet franc
1 year in french oak barrels.
15% ABV
strong red 👀
a bit of funk and grass first, followed by cooked black fruit and some ripe red fruit with added black pepper and vanilla👃
full body.
high acidity.
low tannins
silky mix of ripe black and red fruit with tartness and sweet oak spices with some greeness and dirt on the background👄
long pleasent 🎯
intresting and well made.
excelent vfm (59 nis).
at the meal there was a choice of ouscous and rice (separately) with vegetables, chard and beans or salmon with thick and spicy pepper and 🍅 sauce.
the wine got along with them, even with the spicy fish.
but it wasn't a match made in heaven.
very interesting!

Pleasant surprise, intense and "present" without being too much!

Jun 6th, 2019A very crisp and wine filled with flavor and a strong fruity taste. Due to to the "strong" volume it is a great wine which goes along with fatty portion s of meat.
