Galen Glen
Stone Cellar Gewürztraminer
Galen Glen kind of nailed it on this one. Classic lychee flavor. Could have used a little more acidity for balance, but the acid might have faded a bit on this one, as it’s a few years old. Paired well with Chinese takeout (twice-cooked pork). Hard to believe this was made in PA.

Jul 11th, 2019This one is probably a bit past it’s prime, but more than all right after it “aired out” a bit. Heavy floral perfume aromas and yellow apple, lychee, green melon on the pallet. Big time flint on the finish. High acid.

May 11th, 2019Bruised apple, warm cantaloupe, geranium, white pepper, rock dust, and sweet hay. Gerwürtz can get a little flabby and flat, but coming out of this area, it retains brightness and good acid. I’m drinking this a little late and past it’s prime. Needed some time to blow off some awkwardness. However, it hung in there.
