Cranberry and cedar nose. On the palate is tart cherry, cranberry, cedar and white pepper. This vintage has improved with age, but the tannin still lingers much longer than the underwhelming acid in the finish, and it is overly fruit juicy in the middle. An interesting wine that needs a bit more balance. It did work pretty well with grilled sausage, but doesn’t drink well by itself.
