Gabriel Meffre
Saint-Théodoric Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend
Savory herbs, desiccated red fruits: dried cranberry and raspberry, bright garnet, moderate concentration, subdued notes of black pepper, pronounced notes of overnight brewed black tea ☕️, medium minus acidity, medium plus to elevated tannin and body.

Mar 17th, 2018Noticeably different flavours smack you in the face immediately. Spice. Nutmeg. Cinnamon. Unripened fruit. Even a bit of citrus, I'm afraid. All cloaked in an overall smoothness that I'm not used to out of the Grenache.

Jan 9th, 2015Blackberry, licorice, nutmeg, garrigue, cinnamon. Good balance on the palate with medium acidity and fruit. Hides the alcohol pretty well. Overall a nice, drinkable CdP, but nothing mind-blowing.

Oct 29th, 2020Blackberry and/or black cherry and/or black currant, smooth fruit at the beginning, black pepper, hints of bergamot, dry mineral finish. Definitely let it open up. 2010 vintage.
