Noticeably different flavours smack you in the face immediately. Spice. Nutmeg. Cinnamon. Unripened fruit. Even a bit of citrus, I'm afraid. All cloaked in an overall smoothness that I'm not used to out of the Grenache.

Blackberry, licorice, nutmeg, garrigue, cinnamon. Good balance on the palate with medium acidity and fruit. Hides the alcohol pretty well. Overall a nice, drinkable CdP, but nothing mind-blowing.

Blackberry and/or black cherry and/or black currant, smooth fruit at the beginning, black pepper, hints of bergamot, dry mineral finish. Definitely let it open up. 2010 vintage.
