Outstanding! Even a decant didn’t improve this. This is a baby. Cassis, blackberry pie, currant, pipe tobacco on the nose. Palate was very similar. Needs a few years to gain complexity.

09' Futo OV . BABY of a wine. Exceptional 2nd . Decanting is a must for at least an hour or three. A dozen things going in this excellent wine! Recommend highly. 10+ years in it.

Beautiful expression of earth and fruit. Started out tight but with some vigorous decanting, it emerged balanced and elegant. Smokey fruit, lots of tobacco, cedar, and allspice. Chewy tannin, resolved acidity, all around delicious. Drink now!

Been saving this one for a while. Futo OV Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Merlot Red Blend. Dark cherry, chocolate, vanilla and oak. Bordeaux characteristics :) #yegwine

So you ask, Jim, how can you be so confident the recession is upon us? When I open a $90 btl of wine in 2011 dollars and I 'm like, overpriced! Futo's 2nd wine in the 2009 vintage and somewhat oaky and with alcohol wanting a lot of the credit. Delicious wine but I need my 90 bucks back so I can fill my car with gas.
