93/7 Syrah/Mourvèdre. Enjoyed as a pop and pour.
Similar to their Chopping Block wine, this is a big and rich Paso Syrah. Deeply purple to the core in the glass. Aromatics can fill the room! Freshly out of the oven mixed berry pie, boysenberries, smoked meat and dark cocoa. As I’ve mentioned before, high quality Paso reds have this airy-jammy note to them that is so unique. Hedonistic profile on the palate with full throttle dark fruits cascading to the finish. More of the same freshly squeezed dark fruits, and sweet espresso at the finish. Very much so open for business.

My allocation of the debut vintage (2016) from Fulldraw vineyards and our very own @Connor McMahon and @Rebecca McMahon has arrived!! This is the Hunny Bunny which is a blend of 93% Syrah and 7% Mourvèdre and they also do a 100% Grenache called Hard Point and a GSM blend (or really a SGM blend) called Chopping Block. Very cool presentation, excellent people and what I know will be some exemplary wine! Look for a tasting note from me soon but follow the buzz and acquire some for yourself. Cheers!

Not where the ‘16 is, which is to be expected given the vintage, but enjoyable nonetheless. My favorite in the Fulldraw lineup!

Big ripe fruit, touch of meat and pepper. Honestly get blue berries and whip cream on the nose. Decanted for at least 3 hrs. very drinkable.

May 23rd, 2021Color is dark purple with a nose of plums, blackberry jam, sweet tobacco, bacon fat, and a bit of leather. The aromas are very interesting and I’m not quite sure I have captured it all. On the taste, holy smokes! Stay seated and keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times, this one is a roller coaster. Full-bodied with good fruit at first when you swallow hang on! The finish is a joyful ride with fruit and tannins sweeping across the tongue.
My first bottle I opened from my order from The Find - Danville. If all of my case tastes like this, I’m in for a treat!
