Just delicious. Perfumed, gracious and very refined. The understated side of Napa Valley Cabernet...🤪💥🤩

The estate grown Cab from Frog's Leap is great value for Napa. Midweight. Cherry and spice. Lovely texture.

First time trying Frogs Leap and long overdue. Beautiful wine and even a tad young. Bouquet leans more old world to me. Tea leaves, smoke, cocoa powder, with very subtle fruit. Palate is similar. Totally understand why this is called a restrained or throwback style of Napa Cab. Fruit is fresh but muted on palate. A lot of that cocoa and tea leaf profile. Finish is ridiculously long. Pairing with a ribeye 🥩

Good wine. Probably wouldn’t buy. For the price would pick something different

It’s exceedingly difficult to find a Napa cab with ABV below 14% in recent vintages. With 13.8%, this Rutherford cab is a breath of fresh air.

Fruits are refreshing yet have great depth with cherry commingling with cassis and blackberry. Licorice, tobacco, and crushed rock. The juice is dense but glides through the palate with ease and poise. Long lightly candied earthy finish. I did not detect much “Rutherford dust”, but I will take it.
