Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Dry-Farmed, a bit of Cabernet Franc in mix, aged 20 months in mostly neutral French oak barrels. Dark Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs and floral spice. On the palate flavors of ripe black cherry, raspberry and cassis with espresso, cinnamon and earthy spice notes. Well balanced, lively acidity, fine tannins, long ending with fruit, cacao and tobacco spice! Nice!

2018 Vintage - out of a 1/2 bottle (375ml) still purple rim ,beautifully Varietal , currants , coca powder, mint,,earthy and integrated oak - great with the filet

You’ll have to look far for a Napa Cab of this standard at the modest price of ye good ‘ol Frog’s Leap, which does not leave you wish for anything more. The ‘15 is showing a wonderfully ripe, dense and energetic fruit profile aligned with the well placed oak profile and trademark dusty graphite complexity. Round and ripe textured tannins with a nice grip is bringing the palate throughout a long, though not exceptional

Blackberry and red bell pepper notes for me! Needs some more time I think.

Overripe black cherry, licorice, potting soil, clove. Lengthy is an understatement, coating is thorough, even, smooth.

Black cherry, licorice. Dark fruit, drying tannins, sweet fruit and leathery finish. Some Rutherford dust thrown in.

Restraint, balance, approachability and value- all very hard to find from Rutherford AVA.
