OMG so fruity for a Freemark Cab., but this is Mt. Veeder, so my benchmark for 5+ year old FAW is out the window. Being accustomed to the NV, Bosché or Sycamore styles, this is a departure, very little oak present, color is so damn purple/dark voilet it's crazy, almost like any CA-based port you might come across. Stunned this is FAW, such a different style, but in a very good way.

It got above 40 today, the snow melted off the back deck, so we grilled! (before the snow comes back tomorrow morning). Celebrated with this super delicious Cab, decanted for a couple of hours.

Mmmm a cab I can get into. Heavy but not too much tannins. Very cherry.

Freemark Cabernets are a guilty pleasure in my life. They are a go to with friends that always delivers. This one is a moderately expensive example that seems to drink like a much more expensive bottle. Smooth and silky, with luscious dark fruits, that will caress your palate into a state of bliss.
