The smell of this wine was complex and interesting, however the complexity stopped there. While drinking with dinner, the flavor was almost totally lost to a relatively tame meal. Will try again without food to see if anything else comes out. Not terrible, but not memorable at all.

this is one of those wines that has a great nose but is kind of meh on the palate. The nose has cherries, raspberries, chocolate, and earth, so super excited to try it. But the palate was overwhelmingly acidic. It does better once it opens up and can hold its own against strong foods, but not as tasty as I would have expected.
