Very obviously over the hill, but a fascinating and revealing exercise nonetheless. Dry leaves, desiccated cranberry, wet earth, tobacco. . . Pouring blind around the office the calls were either “Nebbiolo, 20+” or “very old Tempranillo”—and the crowd was polarized on the “do I actually enjoy drinking this?” Question. But wow. . . Long live Piemonte (no pun intended).
