With an introduction like this, how could this not be the perfect ‘iso’ wine to consume right now..

“This story starts in the aptly named 'Isolation Ridge'. If you travelled back 20 years and visited this remote outpost you would probably stumble across a flock of sheep. Lucky for us in 1985 the owners Barrie Smith and Judie Cullam took a fortuitous tour of the French winemaking regions. It was there that the dice were cast and they decided grapes were their future.” - goodpairdays.com

Firstly a big thanks to @goodpairdays for this sample bottle of the West Australian Frankland Estate ‘Rocky Gully’ 2017 Cabernets from Frankland River in the Great Southern wine region.

Here’s Mr Spittoon’s notes:

👀 garnet
👃🏻 mint, pepper and aniseed
👅 dry, floral, bramble fruits & tobacco.
Smooth and easy drinking cab with a long subtly dry finish

Use the code “travellingcorkscrew” to get $23 off your first Good Pair Days delivery 🙌 Woohoo!

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
