Pale, shimmering yellow. Fresh pear, honeydew, tangerine and pungent flowers on the mineral-inflected nose. Offers lively, sharply focused orchard and citrus fruit flavors that are complemented by emerging ginger and white pepper notes adding back-end lift and cut. Silky and impressively lithe, delivering solid mineral thrust and repeating florality on the long, incisive finish. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, May 2020)

The spectacular white wines of the Northern Rhone Valley are often overshadowed by its more renown red counterpart Syrah, but the Marsanne, Rousanne, and Viognier produced in this area are some of France's finest. This wine is 75% Marsanne and 25% Rousanne. Strong stone fruit bouquet of peaches and apricot; citrus notes; lanolin. Long finish.

François Villard consistently amazes me at taking white varietals that I tend not to get too excited about, and making wines out of them that make me want to sit down, stare off into space and think about stuff. 70% Marsanne, 30% Roussanne, non-sparkling St Peray. Evolves aromatically mid-whiff.......impressive.

Stage 15 TourdeFrance enters the Rhône through St. Peray. Beautiful round palate that reminds of Condrieu with complex flavors. Very nice with dried apricots.

Really into this wine. Herbaceous and round, but a good deal fresher than I expected.

80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne from vineyards in the small, not widely known Saint-Péray appellation south of Cornas and across the River from Valence. Vines are about 20 years old, rooted in decomposed granite and clay soil. Fermented and aged in oak barrels for 11 months. Fragrant, complex nose with aromas of pear skin, tropical fruit, citrus (tangerine) and minerals. Medium-bodied, quite opulent, but also fresh and mineral. Some citrus flavors

The aroma is exquisitely defined and perfumed. The body has the togetherness and the structure shows dynamic tension. A virtuosic interpretation of the brilliant 2018 vintage.

Excellent fruit and oak integration. Tastes just right.
