Le Gallet Blanc Côte-Rôtie Syrah
I love this feminine expression of Syrah, this one is still youthful but already approachable , with berry fruit, lavender, gun flint and iodine on the palate, a crunchy, mineral finish on a firm-but-not-rigid frame. Beautiful wine with a decade of evolution in front of it. Not sure it has the extract to go the long term, but who cares when it tastes this good now…

Jul 4th, 2021Just beautiful. Super fresh and pure, layered and elegant. Drinking really well in its youth, floral on the nose, crushed berry, violets, cracked pepper, iron and iodine on the palate. Singing after an hour decant. A feminine expression and a memorable bottle.

Sep 27th, 2020Full disclosure- François and I are working on a new California Rhône-style blend together. This is most consistently my favorite Côte Rôtie. It blends the meaty/game with fresh raspberry and blueberry cola notes. I drink this fairly often and love it more each time.
