First intro to Mikulski and I can see why people say he's got some of the best appellation level burg. Vineyards within the limits of Mersault, avg vine age of close to 30 years. Slightly oxidative nose, nutty, lemongrass and citrus. Palate has a perfect weight and balance, everything coming together especially as it warms. Slight cream, nice wine.

François Mikulski is a very well known and respected producer in Mersault, and even the fruit in this Borgogne Chardonnay is fruit from vineyards on his property in Mersault. Very classic and clean, and drinks like lighter less complex Mersault - hazelnut, golden apple, mineral, lemon peel, and a touch of light butter and creme. Clean, good vin, crystal acidity and clarity.

Bright as a button, quite tight and compact. Broadens on the palate to hint at Meursault generosity, with clean fruit. A little shy on the finish.

Great Bourgogne blanc. His wines always have this mineral tension to them that I love. No different here. Immediate, focused, and balanced. Pronounced just-ripe fruits, zippy citrus notes and lots of mineral character all around.
