Deep violet, a full-bodied red that shows fresh red fruit(and some black fruit as well)and lovable new oak. Note that this wine is very earthy with overt dark chocolate, vanilla and hint of black pepper and bush. High alcohol at 14.5% is a problem here, which blankets both aroma and the finish of this Priorat. Nice and elegant bouquet but kind of disappointing on the palate. Full-bodied and high in alcohol balanced with high tannin content( coarse) and almost high acidity, not bad flavor concentration. Medium length brings down my expectations. Luckily, I bought it with a credit of good value, give or take 120 yuan. Better drink now or age it for no more than 2 years. 86-87points. Tasted in Beijing, September 17, 2013
