Enjoyed this 2016 vintage with friends and the authentic Sicilian food my wife prepared. Well balanced but not especially complex or interesting. However, this made it a good choice for our diverse group of guests. And more importantly, it was an excellent complement to the traditional Italian food by neither overwhelming or being overwhelmed.

$26 Moderately dry, easy to drink. Spice notes, tobacco, fall wet leaves. Deep full nose. Black fruit. Big nose. Full red wine.

This was my go-to Napa Valley Cab, but starting from the 16’ vintage, which carries the Napa County appellation destination, it’s Napa Valley no more.
This 16’ bottling is better than I expected, and pretty much retains the quality from the previous vintages. The delicious dark fruits, while not as concentrated, is lively and well balanced. Supple palate with moderate complexity. Dusty tannins. Very nice.
Will get more if the 16’ is still available.
