Though I usually go for bolder, heavier wines there's something to be said about an elegant, soft pinot. That's what we have here. By no means an all time great, what Votre Sante is is a supremely drinkable pinot noir with bursting red fruits and chalk aromas and a light, pleasing mouthfeel with enough acidity to make the finish last. It's one of the best values out there, to be sure.

Beautiful almost plum color. Dry, but not too much. Very solid for $12.99 at Wyo Wines!

A beautiful wine.
From the heart.
Hookah rose. Warm cascades of pleasure and memory.

Very Mildly fruity. Medium tannins. Light and refreshing. Good wine but a bit sour for pinot. Btw I like sour.

High tannins for a pinot. A bit sour/bitter, which was a little odd for me

In appearance, this wine is one of the most translucent (i.e. quasi-opaque) Pinots I’ve tasted in a long time.  It looks like watery-grape juice (a la melted ice) in the glass. On the nose you get shoe leather, asphalt, bubble gum, and a tiny hint of paint thinner…(yeah, I know…but it’s really not too bad: and for the record I’m not accustomed to smelling paint thinner…..lately).  Thin mouthfeel, but on the palate it’s very nice…no astringency or acidity and well balanced.  I picked up some “pine cone” taste on the finish (which is long) but the fruit (melon, cherry and raspberry) really comes out on the palette.  I like this wine and would buy it again: not the best Pinot I’ve tasted, but if it wasn’t 20 degrees F outside right now, and I was sitting under a sunny Spring sky…this would be the perfect wine.  For the record, I had a glass (okay…I had TWO glasses…sue me) with pizza tonight.  It was fantastic.  I’m scoring this an 8.6.

i absolutely love the grapey purple colors i have seen in California Pinot Noir and this wine delivers what I like. I drank mine chilled, the smell of candied cherries, extra juicy, opened up slowly as the wine warms in my hand and a bit of smoke begins to come through. Sipping reveals easy tannins and a lingering sour cherry flavor that is sure to please those looking for something to pair with a veggie lasagna or pork chops and roasted potatoes.
