This 2019 was stunning at Foxen’s 7600 facilty a few weeks ago. Having it tonight with Montreal seasoned steak tips but almost can’t eat because each sip is so intriguing. Deeply macerated blueberries and blackberries, earth bracken notes. Fruit is surrounded by herbs and savory spices. Soft tannins but structured and firm. Premier cru level . Hard to imagine a better house than Foxen ( maybe Melville) for the greatest USA Pinots. True Burgundy rivals., while retaining new world fruit. Will probably become an evanescent spice box in 10 years. Gorgeous now. Will try to wait on a bottle to see how it evolves.
