This was surprisingly good. I should preface my comments by noting that I’m someone who still has a pretty nasty anti-Chardonnay hangover from the days when shitty, over-oaked Chards were pretty much the only white wine a lot of people drank. But I enjoyed this. It’s like a simple Mâconnais. I don’t normally think of the Finger Lakes as a go-to place for Chardonnay, but I’ll give the region another ‘W’ for this one.
