I get that it’s naturally and sustainably farmed, but kind of weird that they put the 9.5% alcohol on the label so front and center. Marketing ploy? Dunno. Anyway… silly criticism.
These wines have a lot of hype, especially the Riesling but it’s NZ so Sauv Blanc is my weapon of choice. This is a more subdued version than others. Less tomato vine and more general garden herbs. Some grapefruit, of course. Tight but not too so. Full and round texture. I’m not blown away but I don’t hate it either.

Jun 27th, 2014Crisp, dry, excellent with fish like the Blue Apron Cod with Macadamia Crust and Black Rice Salad. Slightly acidic with a hint of kiwi minerality.

Dec 22nd, 2014Almost clear, very little nose. Floral, mineralic, nicely acidic, slightly effervescent. Liked it better than the first Sauvignon Blanc, but it's just barely into :) range.
