Yellow fruit, loads of minerality and a bit of funk. Kind of like that over-ripe banana with some acidity. Uniquely interesting.

Pale gold color. Fruit and mineral nose. Tart, sour exotic fruit, over ripe bananas, a bit of heat on the finish.

Waxy, candied kumquat. Oily texture but nice acidity. Gulpable.

Adore Forlorn Hope and this did not disappoint. Gorgeous bright nose with an ever-evolving energizing palate. Beyond perfect for an 87-degree night that you don't want to throw to the dogs.

Another case of Rorick doing big, rich, and soft, at lower alcohol, while maintaining freshness and minerality. I'd put this against any top white from anywhere in the world. Texture like a bigger burgundy or norther Rhone. 2010.

I would never guess this to be Verdelho. It had body and tasted like Meyer Lemons. It was fragrant, yet subtle, tart without being sharp, and a total winner.

Verdelho.Labeled California as it is a blend from Sierra Foothills (Rorick vineyard in Calaveras County and Dewitt's vineyard in Amador County) and Central Valley (Vista Luna Vineyard in Borden Ranch - Lodi AVA). Bright yellow. Intense, fresh nose with pineapple and ripe grapefruit. Taste corresponds to the smell, great mix of pineapple fruit and the subtle bitterness of ripe grapefruit, great balancing acidity, real depth and a long finish. Never tasted anything this good from this grape. Great stuff. Matthew Rorick strikes again! 2014 vintage.
