Very intense and powerful Barolo. The tannins are quite strong despite its age. A hint of balsamic on the palette. An excellent but not extraordinary Barolo.

Good example of how big producers can (sometimes) make good wine. This 2005 special edition Barolo from Fontanafredda is earthy and smooth, with loads of sour cherry.

Good for a Barolo. I find I have to decant Barolo and Super Tuscans for a few hours before drinking to smooth the tannins out. Just my preference. Helps to bring the fruit out. 90-92 in my opinion

Unbelievable bottle of wine. Very smooth but definitely a bottle to share with good friends.
